Lara is the team's field medic, and the calmest person in any room she enters — including rooms that are on fire. People tell her things. She reads a face the way Axel reads code, and people leave conversations with her having agreed to things they don't remember agreeing to.
Her problem is her own face. Lara reads as Arcadian. She's Frysian — but educated in places Frysians don't get to go, speaking with an accent her own people don't trust. Too foreign for home, too Frysian for everywhere else. On a crew of patriots, she's the one who has to prove she belongs every single day.
