Refund Policy

This page explains your right to cancel an order from the Al Millennium shop, under Dutch and EU consumer law (the right of withdrawal / "herroepingsrecht"), and how refunds are handled.

Physical merchandise — 14-day right of withdrawal

For standard, non-personalized merchandise, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. Return the item unused, in its original packaging where reasonably possible, within 14 days of telling us. Unless the item arrived damaged or defective, you pay the return shipping; we may reduce the refund if the item's value was diminished by handling beyond checking its nature and function.

Custom & personalized items — made to your specification (a name, message, or custom artwork you requested) — are excluded from this right under Article 6:230p(c) BW / Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, because they can't be resold once made. They're marked as custom in the shop before you order.

Digital content — instant access & the 14-day waiver

Some products in the shop (like the ebook) are delivered instantly by download. At checkout, buying a digital item requires you to check a box confirming you want instant access and understand that doing so waives your 14-day right of withdrawal for that item once it's delivered — this is required under Article 6:230p(f) BW / Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive before we can treat that right as waived.

In practice: once you've downloaded a digital item, there's no refund for a change of mind. This doesn't apply to a defective or corrupted file, or if we sent you the wrong item — those are always fixed or refunded, whether or not the waiver was checked.

How to request a refund

Log in, go to Account → Orders, open the order, and select Request Refund. Tell us why (optional but helpful) — we'll review it and update the status on that same page. If you can't access your account, you can instead write to legal@almillennium.com with your order number.

Refund timing

Once a request is approved, we refund the applicable amount within 14 days, using the same payment method you used to order, unless you agree otherwise.
