“There are Frysians who suffered, and there's everyone else.”— Dred
Dred didn't read about the occupation. He lived it. The labor camps in the north are not history to him — they're geography. He has the scars, the list of names he recites instead of praying, and a very simple worldview.
He's the team's hardest edge and its bluntest weapon. He doesn't trust Lara, because her hands are too clean. He doesn't fully trust Jamy, because believers lie better than liars do. He trusts the mission, because the mission is simple: take the thing Britannia wants most, and give it to the people they broke.
