Every faith on Hawiyalatari worships a different god — TiAtlas in Arcadia, TiAropa in Britannia, the deep god of Atlantia, the wolf father of the north. Different names, different temples, different rituals.

Put the legends side by side and a pattern emerges that no single nation can see from inside its own faith: twelve gods. Twelve gifts. Twelve stones that fell like burning stars, each granting power over one aspect of the world — strength, speed, wind, earth, fire, sun, sea, beast, pack, memory, illusion, and time.

At least two are lost — and one of those is the stone of illusion, which raises a thought the scholars try not to dwell on: a lost illusion stone would look exactly like a lost illusion stone. Even if someone had already found it.

The twelfth stone is the one the whole continent knows. The faiths call it the Millennium. It's calling again.
